Abstract

This study aimed to examine the influence of personality, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero). The research used a quantitative approach with an associative method. The population consisted of 175 employees, while the sample included 64 respondents determined using the Slovin formula through purposive sampling technique. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents and were analyzed using SPSS version 24. The analytical method applied was multiple linear regression to determine the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that partially the personality variable had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a regression coefficient of 0.323, a t-value of 2.369, and a significance level of 0.021. Work discipline also showed a positive and significant effect with a regression coefficient of 0.594, a t-value of 5.551, and a significance level of 0.000. Likewise, work motivation had a positive and significant influence on employee performance with a regression coefficient of 0.312, a t-value of 2.980, and a significance level of 0.004. Simultaneously, the test results produced an F-value of 271.632 with a significance level of 0.000. Work discipline became the most dominant factor influencing employee performance because it had the highest regression coefficient and t-value. The adjusted R² value of 0.928 indicated that 92.8% of the variation in employee performance could be explained by personality, work discipline, and work motivation variables. Meanwhile, the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.965 indicated a very strong relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable.
