Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Competence, Motivation, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment on Employee Performance at the Medan City Market PUD, both partially and simultaneously. The type of research used is quantitative research with an associative approach. The population in this study is all permanent employees and contract PUD Pasar Medan City which totals 740 people. The determination of the number of samples was carried out using the Slovin formula with an error rate of 10%, so that a sample of 88 respondents was obtained which was determined through the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the SPSS program. The results of the study showed that partially, Competence had a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance in the Medan City Market PUD, while Motivation, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment did not show a significant influence on Employee Performance. Simultaneously, the four independent variables were proven to have a significant effect on Employee Performance, with the level of the model's ability to explain variations in Employee Performance being relatively high. The results of the determination coefficient test showed an Adjusted R Square value of 0.679, which means that Competence, Motivation, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment were simultaneously able to explain 67.9% of the variation in Employee Performance in the Medan City Market PUD, while the remaining 32.1% was explained by other factors outside this research model.
