Abstract
This study aims to describe the management of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in improving the quality of learning at MAS Miftahussalam Medan. The focus of the study includes planning, implementation, evaluation, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors in PAI curriculum management. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of the madrasah principal, deputy head of curriculum, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students. The results of the study indicate that PAI curriculum management at MAS Miftahussalam Medan has been implemented through structured stages of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. Planning is carried out through the preparation of learning tools that refer to the national curriculum and Islamic values. The implementation of learning applies various active methods and religious habits. Evaluation is carried out continuously through academic assessment and character development of students. Supporting factors include teacher competence, support from the madrasah principal, adequate facilities and infrastructure, and the religious culture of the madrasah. Inhibiting factors include limited learning time, differences in student abilities, and challenges of digital technology development. Effective PAI curriculum management has been proven to improve the quality of learning both from an academic aspect and in terms of student character.
