This study aims to analyze the losses and effects of noise on dry transformers at ARTG Port Belawan. The method used is quantitative with a field study approach. The test was carried out with a voltage variation of 90%–110% of the nominal voltage and a load of 25%–110%. The parameters analyzed included no-load loss, load loss, current, temperature, and noise level. The test results showed that the no-load loss increased from 1,185 kW at 90% voltage to 1,884 kW at 110%, while the noise level increased from 57.8 dB(A) to 68.5 dB(A). In the load test, the loss increased from 0.46 kW at 25% load to 3.87 kW at 110% load. These results show that the increase in voltage increases the core magnetization activity which affects the noise, while the increase in loading leads to an increase in the loss and temperature of the transformer. Therefore, voltage control and loading are necessary to maintain the efficiency and reliability of the dry transformer.
