Implementation of The Merdeka Belajar Curriculum In Islamic Religious Education Learning At Sma Harapan 3 Medan

This study explores the role of education in shaping individuals and evaluates the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in Islamic education at Harapan 3 Medan High School. Finding indicate positive impacts, including the development of contextual understanding, creativity, and diversification of teaching methods. The position of Islamic education system is clarified as a formal, non-formal, informal, and religious institution. This article emphasizes the importanceof religious values in achieving national and Islamic educational goals, recommending an enhancement of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum implementation as a step toward educational reform.
