The Effect of Compensation and Training on Employee Performance

Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in achieving organizational goals and improving organizational productivity. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and training on employee performance at PT PNM Branch Medan. The research used a quantitative approach with explanatory research design. The population in this study consisted of all employees of PT PNM Branch Medan, with a total sample of 50 employees using saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Jamovi statistical software. The analysis methods included validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, and F-test. The results showed that compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.002 < 0.05. Training also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a significance value of 0.005 < 0.05. Simultaneously, compensation and training significantly affect employee performance with an F significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that fair compensation and effective training programs can improve employee productivity and work performance. Therefore, organizations are expected to improve compensation systems and provide continuous training programs to support employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
