Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of agricultural factors on the income of the people of Glugur Rimbun Village. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and questionnaires to farmers in Glugur Rimpun Village. The data used is in the form of primary data and secondary data. The results of the study show that the agricultural sector is the main source of income for the village community with the main commodities in the form of corn, red chili, and crystal guava. The average income of farmers ranges from Rp. 2,500,000 to Rp. 16,000,000 per month depending on the type of commodity and land area owned. Factors that affect farmers' income include crop prices, weather, capital, business, fertilizers, and pests. In addition, the agricultural sector also plays a role in meeting the needs of families and education costs. However, the community still faces obstacles in the form of unstable crop prices and limited capital and irrigation. Therefore, government support is needed in the form of seed banning, fertilizers, agricultural technology, and crop marketing to improve people's welfare
